So I'm back with more on my Junior Research Project! This is one of my other minor focuses and it is a place. I'm assuming by the title you figured out that my place is none other than the U.S. Department of Treasury. The Treasury relates to my project of the 2 dollar bill because it had to be made through a mint and a mint is a bureau controlled by the Treasury.

The Treasury has a number of different bureaus within its walls. There are bureaus ranging from alcohol and tobacco to the U.S. mint. The U.S. Department of Treasury is responsible for the financial security of the United States as well as its economic prosperity.
The Treasury has one main solid goal: Maintain a strong economy and create economic and job opportunities by promoting the conditions that enable economic growth and stability at home and abroad, strengthen national security by combating threats and protecting the integrity of the financial system, and manage the U.S. Government’s finances and resources effectively.
Some of the services the Treasury offers are below and they are also links so if you wanted to find out more about them they would take you back to the U.S. Department of Treasury website.

The U.S. Department of Treasury has a long and event filled past. After all we all have to start some where. If you were to go onto www.Treasury.gov and click on the about tab, and then to the history tab, then to the tab that says chronology of events, you will find a detailed list of the events sectioned by years. The first event mentioned takes place in Massachusetts on May 27, 1652. This event was actually about the passing of the Massachusetts Bay Mint Act which was established in Boston. That is just one of the many events that the Treasury has.
So that's about it for this minor focus. Stay tuned for one more, an event...
